Poetry

They say the tree remembers but the axe forgets
I have been both the redwood and the lumberjack, sometimes all at once

Chapbook in the Works

Eteya is currently working on her first chapbook, HOME/BOUND, or monologues to giants. Examining how environment shapes identity, HOME/BOUND is a collection of poems about returning to where you came from. Eteya's poetry explores the meanings of belonging,  family, community, growth and trauma by digging through her relationship to her childhood town in Humboldt County, Northern California.
